SPECIAL BONUS! 2 MORE FIRST PLACE SONGS IN THE 2018 AUSTIN SONG COMPETITION!
Here are the 5 first place songs in the 2017 Austin Songwriters Competition, which you will receive:
HERE ARE THE TWO BONUS SONGS, BOTH FIRST PLACE WINNERS IN THE 2018 COMPETITION:
- Little Miss Logical - this song is about 'Little Miss Logical' and 'Young Mr. Pi'. They are the poster children for things that happen by chance, and it is a beautiful special thing. Wayne's lyrics talk about how people don't communicate person-to-person much any more, and they are missing some great opportunities.
- Celebrity - this is a fun song that rocks. It pokes fun of celebrities that have fame but little talent. The celebrity in the song goes to a party and performs without an 'auto-tuner' to make her vocals on pitch. Doesn't end well ....
- I Knew Her When She Wasn't All That - this song was inspired by Wayne's class reunion in Victoria Texas. It is a catchy and fun song about a nerd in school that returns after making it 'big'.
- Riley and His Marching Band - this novelty song is entertaining and features a full marching band instrumental created by Wayne's imagination.
- The Last Song - this song is a beautifully scored piece that won the lyric competition. It is about the beauty of the after life, told in story about an old man and the children that he loved.
HERE ARE THE TWO BONUS SONGS, BOTH FIRST PLACE WINNERS IN THE 2018 COMPETITION:
- Help Someone Else - 1st Place in the Rock Category - this hard-rocking song has influences of AC/DC, Queen, and Supertramp. It has a strong message about caring about others in order to help yourself.
- Floating On A Ball - 1st Place in Blues/Jazz - this quirky song hearkens back to the big band days with full instrumentation. Wayne takes you on a interesting musical trip while the lyrics talk about alien influence on earth.
