General Requirements:
- Define all colors as CMYK (or PMS if applicable).
- Check that documents are correct size, with crop and fold marks.
- All images must be at least 300 dpi. You can check this by going to
the image menu in Photoshop and select image size item, make sure that
you do this before starting on the design on your graphic. If you
provide images that do not meet this requirement your order will be
delayed and you will be required to resubmit the artwork.
- Images must be setup in CMYK mode. Images sent in RGB will cause
your order to be delayed.
- If you have used Illustrator or inDesign convert fonts to outlines.
- If you have used Quark Express, Photoshop or EPS you MUST include
all the fonts you used to create the artwork.
- If you are using Photoshop to do your layout, make sure you keep all
the layers editable, do not merge or flatten the image.
- If you have used Illustrator or Quark Express make sure all linked
files have been included with your files.
Bleed:
Please incoporate 0.125" or 1/8-inch of overwork for all bleed images.
Any portion of the image that extends to the edge of the product is
considered a bleed.
Margins:
Elements that do not bleed should be at least 0.125" from the edge.
Templates:
We recommend that you get our complete specifications and templates
before beginning your design. We can sent you the
templates when you are ready for them.
Compatibility:
We are integrated with most programs for both Macintosh and IBM
platforms
Font Requirement:
Fonts should be a minimum of 6pt. Fonts should be zipped or stuffit if
you are uploading to our FTP, to ensure that they do not get corrupted.
Supply all fonts (plain, bold, italic, etc.) used. PostScript fonts have
a printer file and a screen font file. TrueType fonts have only one
file.
Acceptable File Formats:
We only accept artwork supplied in one of the following formats:
Illustrator, Photoshop, QuarkXpress, inDesign.
Supplied Scans:
- Use correct file format (TIFF, PSD, EPS). Avoid GIF and JPEG
formats wherever possible.
- Save as CMYK, grayscale, or bitmap color mode. No RGB, index
color, etc.
- Make sure resolution at size is okay. 300 ppi for
color/grayscale (200 ppi min.). 1200 ppi for bitmap (300 ppi min.)
- There should be no extra channels, layers, or paths unless
necessary. Linked Files
- Provide all high resolution scans and logo (EPS) files that are
placed in your layout.
- Make sure all linked files are editable.
- Include any fonts used in your EPS files.
- Include any scans used in your placed EPS files.

The Front Insert slips in the front lid of the jewel case. For additional
panels, you will need to duplicate the dimensions of one panel times
the number you need.

The Back Insert fits underneath the tray and is the back side of your CD.
The edges on the side are folded up to create the printed edges in your
jewel case. Four-color printing on both the outside
and inside of the tray card must use a clear tray.
Total Width: 5 15/16" (5 7/16" + 1/4" fold
+ 1/4" fold)

- CD Face (Printing on CD)
This is what is printed on your CD. This is a silk screen process
using PMS (Pantone) colors, or it may be printed using CMYK if you are ordering
5 colors. (The 3 included plus 2 additional)
Be sure PMS colors are indicated in file.
Be sure that a color proof is provided.
Circle Diameter: 116 mm
Spindle Hole: 17 mm
Registration marks are required on all film including cross mark in the
center
Text should be no smaller than 6 pt.
Do no leave template rules around the printed area or they will be printed
on your disc.
A knockout ring is required between 32 mm and 35 mm diameter. This
area is not printable.
